Pilates Retreat vs Pilates Workshop Which Should You Do

You want to learn more about Pilates but you’re unsure how to go about deepening your practice. And, I hear ya, it’s hard to know if you should simply do more Pilates, go to a workshop or a Retreat. If you’re a Pilates client you may even wonder if a workshop is right for you. Should you just go on a retreat or take more Pilates?

Why Disconnecting from Your Routine is the Best Way to Connect to You

It’s easy to think that you’re too busy, it’s too expensive or that you need friends to travel. I used to think that you had to plan super far out to travel, that it cost a lot of money and that I would need someone to go with me. And then, I went on a trip to Brazil alone. It wasn’t supposed to be that way but I am so happy that happened because it opened my eyes to taking trips no matter how far, how busy or if I would be alone. It’s incredibly important to get out of our routine, to disconnect so that you can reconnect to who you are and where you want to be going.

Maui Pilates Retreat Options for Everyone

Maui Pilates lovers can have their cake and eat it too. Because as an LA local there are often a ton of fabulous events happening here! I mean, every day there’s a retreat, getaway or tour I can go on. Which is why I LOVE to get out of town so I can go on a retreat, trip or vacation. But, if any one of these local opportunities had the option to join in and stay at home I so would. Which is why, when it comes to my Maui Pilates retreat my desire is your reality! Yep, when my Maui retreat happens, if you’re a local or passing through at the same time you can choose your own adventure.

Your Pilates Reach on the Beach

Pilates is a method and a process that compounds in your mind and body overtime. When Joseph Pilates created his method he believed that in “10 sessions you’ll feel different, in 20 sessions you will look different and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.” People often forget that last part which says you have to do it four times a week! But, as we know practice simply makes habit. And, Pilates is more than choreography. It’s truly the ability to connect and maintain that connection as you move. So, how do you reach in Pilates?

How To Do Reformer Pilates Without a Reformer

I first fell in love with Pilates on the Mat! I did Pilates almost every day for one hour for a year and a half on the Mat. I couldn’t get enough of it. And, then I discovered the Reformer. And I became OBSESSED! But, I didn’t have a Reformer and it’s not like Pilates equipment classes are affordable enough to go to like a Mat class. I wanted to find ways to get more Reformer in my life without having to go out and get a Reformer.
